Challenge and Conflict: keys to life

Challenge and conflict are sometimes the things most avoided in life. When you think about the word conflict it can come off taboo. The term makes you think of opposing forces coming together and crashing. Conflict is an uncomfortable place, but it is very necessary in life. Challenge can be just that, challenging. However once again this is a necessary key to life. Without conflict or challenge, change is non-existent. When two masses of land come together and collide it creates a mountain. Some monuments in your life will never be formed until you face certain challenges and embrace conflict. Now, there is a major difference between being a confrontational person and embracing conflict. If you are just confrontational by nature and can never agree on anything, just think of yourself as being an automobile. Have you ever been on the road with a reckless driver? You don't know where they're coming from or where they're going, and you can't dictate the intent of their direction. If that car comes in contact with anyone especially head on, it causes a collision. When you are just an argumentative person and have bad or no intent on why your being that way, you are usually reckless with your words. This behavior only causes a big mess. However when you embrace conflict and challenge in a healthy way, you are pure in your intent and want a positive resolution. Challenge is the prerequisite to change. It usually shows up first to let you know that a change needs to happen. If you don't become aware of the challenge and sweep it under the rug of life, frustration shows up. Frustration is the ultimate sign of complacency because you want a change but aren't willing to climb that mountain to conquer conflict. I would like to admonish you, if your frustrated its time for change. If change is to come, you must embrace challenge and conflict to go to the next place that your called to. These two key things are a must in life. Ready yourself for your elevation by engaging the challenge, facing conflict and embracing your change.
